Stay Alert on the Roads: 6 National Highways Road Closures to Look Out For in and Around Bolton This Week

Drivers in and around Bolton should be aware of six National Highways road closures this week that could cause delays of up to 30 minutes. The latest works list from National Highways shows that there are six closures due to start over the next two weeks.
The first closure is already in place and has been since June 19, causing moderate delays between 10 and 30 minutes. It is on the A580, from 9pm June 19 to 6am June 26. The closure impacts the M6 north and southbound, junction 21A to 26, due to lane closures and carriageway closures for improvement works.
The next closure begins on June 24 from 10pm until 10am June 25, causing moderate delays on the M61 between junction 3 and the A666 northbound and southbound. This is due to a carriageway closure for maintenance works.
From 9pm on June 26 until 6am July 3, there will be moderate delays on the M6 North and southbound from junction 21A to 26. This is due to lane closures and carriageway closures for improvement works.
From 9pm on June 27 until 5am June 28, there will be moderate delays on the M60 clockwise between junctions 13 and 15, this is for a lane closure for electrical works.
From 9pm July 3 to 6am July 10, there will be moderate delays on the M6 North and southbound between junctions 21A and 26. This is for lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.
Finally, from 9pm July 3 to 5am July 5 there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound between junction 4 and 5, this is a lane closure for drainage.
It is important to stay alert and take the necessary precautions when driving on the roads around Bolton this week. National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
