# North Lincolnshire Council's Planning Applications Decided in June: A Round-Up
Key Highlights :

June was a busy month for North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee, with a range of applications being decided. One of the most notable applications was for Barton Food Bank, who were granted permission for a storage building on land behind the Salvation Army church. Despite objections from local residents, the committee unanimously approved the building, which will provide sorely needed extra space for the food bank.
The committee also approved two semi-detached homes at Greenfield Farm in Crowle, which are intended to deter agricultural arson and provide housing for younger members of the farming family. They also approved an application for six homes in Barrow upon Humber, despite objections from the parish council. Three of the homes will be two-bed bungalows specifically for the over 55s.
Other applications decided by the committee included a £25,000 contribution to local education facilities, an £8,000 contribution to recreation facilities, and a £33,000 contribution to Barrow's parks and playing fields.
The planning committee has a responsibility to ensure that North Lincolnshire's development is sustainable and meets the needs of the local population. This month's decisions show that they are committed to achieving this goal.
