Nicolo Barella to Stay Put at Inter Milan Despite Speculation from Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle

Key Highlights :

1. Nicolo Barella is not pushing for a transfer to Liverpool from Inter Milan this summer - according to a fresh report.
2. Jurgen Klopp is such a vocal admirer of him that he is among those reportedly interested in signing him, but after shelving plans to target Jude Bellingham due to the costs involved, such a huge outlay looks unlikely.
3. Liverpool have been credited with preparing a £77m offer for Barella, but follow-up reports from Italian outlet have, seemingly, dashed any hopes by stating he is 'taking no notice' of rumours and he is intent on staying put at the San Siro.

The speculation around Inter Milan player Nicolo Barella is at fever pitch with Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle all reportedly interested in signing him this summer. Despite helping Inter to the showpiece last season, speculation over Barella and his immediate future at the San Siro continues to gather pace.

Jurgen Klopp has previously praised the 26-year-old, describing him as a "top-class player" with all the attributes of an ideal midfield player. He is aggressive, technical, and can run for ages - making him a sought-after commodity in the transfer market.

Reports from last week suggested Newcastle were closing-in on a £50m transfer for the Euro 2020 winner. However, those claims appear to have been wide of the mark, and Inter are thought to be holding out for nearer to €80m if they even sanction a sale.

Liverpool have been credited with preparing a £77m offer, but Italian outlet have stated Barella is 'taking no notice' when it comes to rumours, and he's intent on staying put at the San Siro instead. Figures behind the scenes would be 'open' to selling him at the right price, but Barella remains 'unmoved' and would prefer to continue with Inter.

With the transfer window set to close in the coming weeks, it looks increasingly likely that Barella will remain at Inter Milan. Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle will have to look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements this summer.
