Taylor Swift fans were left disappointed on Sunday night when severe weather conditions in Nashville caused the singer's concert to be delayed for more than three hours. Taylor, who is rumoured to be dating British lead singer of The 1975 Matt Healy, was due to perform at the Nissan Stadium but was forced to take shelter due to the hazardous weather.

The 'Shelter in Place' order was issued at 5.40pm local time, with thousands of fans gathering underneath a stand while wearing ponchos. The delay was eventually lifted at 9.25pm local time, more than three and a half hours after the initial order. Taylor took to the stage shortly after 10.10pm.

The statement released by Nissan Stadium read: "Nissan Stadium is currently under a Shelter in Place order. If outside Nissan Stadium, please seek shelter in your cars or underneath the nearest covered area. If you are already inside, please proceed to shelter areas as directed by staff. Please remain calm and make your way to covered areas inside Nissan Stadium."

The update from the Nissan Stadium read: "Drop everything now! Meet me in the pouring rain! Shelter in Place has officially been lifted! Fans, please start safely making your way to your seats. Once production wraps up, Taylor Swift will hit the stage!"

The Love Story songstress was snapped for the first time with Matty Healy in the early hours of Sunday following a show at the same Nashville venue. The rumoured new couple were seen sitting next to one another in a car with tinted windows. Arriving at Taylor's condo at 12:30am, the couple could be seen sat in the back of a chauffeured vehicle, according to reports.

Matty has been spotted attending Taylor's tour for two nights in a row, with him standing in the VIP area with the likes of Gigi Hadid and Abigail Lauren - two of Taylor's closest and most trusted pals. Recently it has been widely reported that the pair are "madly in love", with past reports saying that they would step out together in Nashville - which has proved to be true.
