House of Mika Couture Wins Best Asian Boutique of the Year Award

The House of Mika Couture, a luxury South Asian clothing brand owned by Fatima Lorgat in Bolton, has won an award for being the best Asian boutique of the year. The boutique has won at the Asian Wedding Awards three years in a row, putting Bolton on the map for blushing brides or anyone wanting a specially designed dress.
The House of Mika Couture offers a wide range of collections and services, from the “build a dress” service where customers can choose the style, fabric, design, and colour, all in £100, to the wedding bespoke service upstairs as well as limited edition dresses where only five are available at all. Alongside traditional pieces, the boutique offers modern styles with trousers and capes to offer a unique look for everybody.
A group of designers work with Fatima to design every dress for the brand, and Fatima said: “We always put the customers first and always look to grow. If someone with a budget comes in, we can create a dress for them and have a budget collection for anyone. We always listen to feedback.”
Fatima also said that it felt humbling to win again and because they were up against a very respectable big business: “We’re a small place compared to other places like in Birmingham, where people usually go to purchase outfits, we have put ourselves on the map.”
With the award, the House of Mika Couture hopes to be recognised by customers when deciding where to visit. Fatima said: “We’re going to work even harder and want to constantly give people what they want and ask for. Customers can choose the silhouette they want and they can try on the styles to see what they like. It’s a service that makes sure they are happy and do not leave our boutique until they feel fabulous about their dress.”
