Protect Your Quad Bike – North Yorkshire Police Appeals for Information on Goathland Theft
Key Highlights :

Residents of Goathland, near Whitby, were left shocked after a green-coloured Yamaha 660cc quad bike was stolen from a farm in the area during the early hours of Wednesday June 21. North Yorkshire Police have now issued an appeal for any information which could help with their investigation.
The theft comes after the force had earlier warned that criminals were targeting quad bikes in the area and asked owners to be aware that thieves were particularly active at the moment and to take every step possible to keep their vehicles safe.
“We’re working hard with neighbouring forces to keep thieves out and running daily proactive patrols to deter thefts and catch criminals,” said police.
In order to keep your bike safe, North Yorkshire Police have asked owners to take several steps including keeping your quad bike out of sight and using devices such as steering locks, ball hitch or frame locks and wheel clamps bolted to the ground.
