The rivalry between two of the world’s most influential tech billionaires, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, just reached a whole new level. After rumors emerged that Zuckerberg was working on a Twitter rival, Musk proposed a “cage match” between the two. Surprisingly, Zuckerberg accepted the challenge and the two are now set to fight in a Vegas Octagon.

The challenge was issued by Musk after he saw a post about Zuckerberg’s upcoming Twitter rival. Replying to the post, Musk wrote in a tweet: “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” Zuckerberg then shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the text “Send me location” overlaid. To which, the Twitter CEO replied: “Vegas Octagon”, referring to the UFC Apex centre in Nevada.

The challenge comes weeks after Zuckerberg shared a post about his martial arts training. The Facebook founder competed over the weekend in Redwood City, California, representing the Guerrilla jiu-jitsu team, and took home silver and gold medals. In a social media post, the Meta chief said he competed in his first jiu-jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu team.

On the other hand, Musk says he does not exercise, writing in a Twitter post on Wednesday: “I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids and throwing them in the air.”

The highly-anticipated fight between the two tech giants is set to take place in the Vegas Octagon. It remains to be seen who will come out victorious in this battle of the tech titans. Will it be the Facebook founder, who has trained in martial arts and won medals in jiu-jitsu tournaments? Or will Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, come out on top with his unconventional method of exercise? We’ll have to wait and see.
