Help Little Teddy Reach America for Life Saving Cancer Treatment: An Auction of Promises
Key Highlights :
Four-year-old Teddy Lichten from Hassocks has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called neuroblastoma. Teddy’s parents, Kat and Alistair, are now fundraising to get him to America for treatment which is not currently available in the UK. To help them reach their goal, an Auction of Promises has been launched with days out and fine dining up for grabs.
Teddy has already undergone high-dose chemotherapy, blood transfusions, stem cell transplants and radiotherapy. He still has seven months of front-line treatment ahead of him. The life-saving treatment he needs is a new vaccine which could cost anywhere from £250,000 to £300,000.
The Auction of Promises was set up during Teddy’s birthday month, June, to support fundraising efforts. Bidders can win prizes including tickets for karaoke, Bewilder Box Escape Rooms, Lingfield Park Races, the Brighton i360 and a golf day at Cuckfield Golf Centre. There are also meals at The Set in Preston Road, The Grand, Med in Little East Street and Fatto a Mano Pizzeria up for grabs.
For train fanatics, there is even a train driver experience simulator with GTR, the operator in charge of Southern and Thameslink services. Plus, there are prizes available from further afield, including Scottish staycations, Mediterranean mini-breaks, Michelin starred meals, London piano lessons and podcast tickets.
The auction is now live and bidding closes on Sunday, June 25, at 5pm. To support Teddy’s appeal, you can explore the auction catalogue and bid at https://auctionofpromises.com/TeddysCampaign .
