Everton manager Sean Dyche is reportedly ready to sell off five senior players this summer in order to raise funds for a £20million move for Sheffield United’s Iliman Ndiaye. According to Alan Nixon, Dyche is willing to cash in on Jordan Pickford, Demarai Gray, Neal Maupay, Mason Holgate and Amadou Onana in order to boost the club’s transfer budget.

Ndiaye, who is 23-years-old, is a top target for Dyche, who tried to sign the forward in January. The Senegal striker is now in the final year of his contract at Bramall Lane and Nixon claims the French-born ace sees Marseille as a “dream destination”.

It is understood that Marseille’s interest is growing and that could throw a spanner in the works for the Toffees manager. Everton cannot be seriously considering selling all of those players, as there’s an obvious need to sign a new forward or two – or three.

Last season, Ndiaye scored 14 goals in 46 Championship matches for Sheffield United as they won promotion to the Premier League. He also provided 11 assists in the league, which is incredible for a striker, who can also drop deep into more of a number 10 role.

The question is whether Ndiaye can be the man to finally get Everton firing on all cylinders in the attack? Selling off players like Gray, who’s proven in the Premier League, and other players to fund signings from the Championship may not be the best solution.

With Marseille’s interest in Ndiaye growing, Everton must decide whether they are willing to go to £20million in the bidding for him or look elsewhere. It is likely that they will have to wait to see how the situation develops before they can make a decision.
