"Celebrating Royal Ascot Victory: King Charles and Queen Camilla Receive Trophy from Australia for Chalk Stream's Win"
Key Highlights :

Royal Ascot is one of the most prestigious and historic events in the racing calendar, and this year King Charles and Queen Camilla have yet to taste victory on the track from their three runners. However, the royal couple have been presented with a trophy for a victory gained in Australia.
Chalk Stream, a horse bred by the late Queen Elizabeth II, registered the King and Queen’s biggest success as owners when it won the Australia Day Cup at Warwick Farm in Sydney on January 26th. This day marks the day the British claimed sovereignty when the union flag was first raised in New South Wales in 1788.
Chalk Stream, who is trained by Chris Waller, claimed a first stakes win for the royal family Down Under in the £91,000 Listed race. Peter McGauran, chairman of the Australian Turf Club, and Neil Wilson, chairman of the Victoria Racing Club, accompanied Chalk Stream’s trainer Chris Waller to the presentation ceremony.
The King and Queen, who are due to attend all five days of the meeting, have yet to cheer home a winner at Royal Ascot. However, the Queen presented the trophy to the winners of the Prince of Wales’s Stakes on Wednesday and will join the King to present the Gold Cup on Thursday.
The royal couple also received a trophy themselves at Ascot when officials from Australia delivered the Australia Day Cup. This was a special moment for the King and Queen who have yet to experience victory on the track at Ascot from their three runners.
Circle Of Fire produced their best result so far, finishing fourth in the Queen’s Vase. The King and Queen have one runner on Thursday, Desert Hero in the King George V Stakes, one on Friday, Candle Of Hope, in the Sandringham Stakes, and King’s Lynn in the Wokingham Handicap.
It will be a special occasion for King Charles and Queen Camilla if any of their horses can taste victory on the track at Ascot. However, the royal couple can take heart from their success in Australia and the trophy they received for Chalk Stream’s win.
