It's a long weekend in the UK and while some of us might be taking the opportunity to go marvel at some lambs, catch up on the housework, read a book or lounge on a beach, others might be wondering what to play. Here at RPS, we've got you covered with our weekend gaming picks.
Alice Bee: Redfall
Alice Bee couldn't resist playing Redfall and after everything everyone else had told her, it was still surprisingly fun. She's still Arkane-pilled, but it's bizarrely not not fun.
Alice0: Quantum Break
Alice0 is playing Quantum Break now it's on PC Game Pass. At the time, the slo-mo powers and such felt like Remedy trying to brings bits of Max Payne into cover shooters. Playing now, it feels much more like a first crack at the foundations of Control.
Ed: Vampire Survivors
Ed needs a break from Redfall, so he's turning to Vampire Survivors sessions on the couch, maybe some Lost Judgment as it's been way too long since he spent some time with the dance club.
Hayden: Citizen Sleeper
Hayden is going to spend the long weekend blasting through Citizen Sleeper again for the RPS Games Club. He hasn't played since his original run back in November, and that feels like enough time to hop into a new save and follow the branches that he skipped before.
James: Deep Rock Galactic
James is thinking Redfall but has grown wearier of its wonkiness with every passing hour. He's considering giving it one last chance before he slaps it with his "Would rather play Deep Rock Galactic" stamp.
Katharine: God Of War (2018)
Katharine is still Live A Live-ing this weekend, but with Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom coming out next week, she wants to clear the decks on some other games. She's still got a bit to go with God Of War (2018), and while she doesn't think she'll be anywhere near finishing it by the time next Friday rolls around, she can sure as hell try.
Liam: Cassette Beasts
Liam is taking the extra day off, albeit reluctantly. He's going to spend the long weekend playing Cassette Beasts.
Ollie: Honkai Star Rail
Ollie is playing Honkai Star Rail this weekend. If gacha games and annoyingly high-pitched voices are a dealbreaker for you, he understands. But there really is a lot to love here - not least of which is how ludicrously flashy all of the characters' Ultimate moves are.
Rebecca: Monster Roadtrip & Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
Rebecca is intending to spend as much of Saturday as possible up on a high hill. But since there's a good chance that's going to be rained off, the back-up plan is for her partner and her to finish their current run of Monster Roadtrip and then get back to absolving an elephant from a murder charge in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One.
