3. Inquiries are ongoing.

In the early hours of Sunday, May 7, South Wales Police reported a pursuit in the east of Cardiff. The suspects had fled police and discarded their clothing in the process. Little did they know, police discovered a large amount of cash and drugs alongside the abandoned clothes.

The tweet from South Wales Police shared a picture of thousands of pounds of cash in an evidence bag along with details of the chase. It's unclear if the suspects were apprehended, however, officers are continuing to investigate the incident.

This isn't the first time police have encountered suspects fleeing from the law. In April, a man was charged with murdering a delivery driver who was hit by an allegedly stolen van. Police cordoned off a city centre street after a woman's death.

In another incident, someone tricked the taxman into handing over £500k by registering a firm to someone else's home. Four people were charged, including two adults, after a 12-year-old boy was injured in a park. In yet another case, a man went berserk and attacked five police officers who were arresting his brother.

It's clear that criminals will go to extreme lengths to evade capture, including discarding their clothing and abandoning large amounts of cash and drugs. Police are always on high alert and will continue to pursue suspects who break the law.
