Meralco Bolts Announce Changes to Coaching Staff Ahead of PBA Season

The Meralco Bolts on Monday announced several changes to its coaching staff as they gear up for the new PBA season. After nine years at the helm, Norman Black has stepped down as head coach and will now serve as team consultant. He will be replaced by longtime assistant coach Luigi Trillo, while Nenad Vucinic has been appointed as an active consultant.
In a statement, Meralco management thanked Black for his "unwavering commitment and the indelible mark he has left on the organization." During his tenure, Black led the team to the PBA Semifinals in 6 of the 7 most recent conferences, and qualified for the Finals in four editions of the Governors' Cup.
Team manager Paolo Trillo expressed his gratitude to Black, as well as his excitement for the new coaching staff. “We thank Coach Norman for his unwavering commitment and the indelible mark he has left on the organization. We are also grateful to have Coach Nenad and Coach Luigi taking on new roles in leading the Bolts,” he said.
Black, for his part, thanked Meralco management and the MVP group for their support. “I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the Meralco management and the MVP group for supporting myself and the Bolts. I now look forward to helping the team in my capacity as team consultant in our continued quest to bring a championship to the Meralco franchise,” he said.
